Cable stitch seam – Seams#13- Crochet#25

CABLE STITCH SEAM- (With Hook)

Cable stitch seam is great way to join granny squares. It has flat appearance after finishing. Further more adds space between the squares with a very nice cable.

Join the yarn with slip stitch in the corner stitch of piece#1 and chain 3. Refer below image.

1SC in next stitch, *chain 3. Skip next stitch, 1SC in next*. (Refer below image) Repeat * * on all the sides for piece#1

On pc 2, repeat the above on 3 sides.  Make SC in the corner stitch at the end of 3rd side and chain 2.

Pull the hook out of the chain and insert in the corresponding corner stitch of piece 1. Pull the chain stitch through and chain 1. SC in the next stitch of piece#2.

*Chain 2, pull out the hook, insert in the next corresponding stitch of piece 1, pull the chain through and chain1. Skip next stitch on piece 2, make SC in the next stitch* Repeat *…* till the last stitch.

Join the last stitch with slip stitch to the first stitch.

End result – A beautiful cable running in the middle of 2 pieces.
